Positioning Material innovation and luxury sports watches

Hublot was founded in 1980 by Italian watchmaker Carlo Crocco in Geneva. The original concept paired a gold case with a natural rubber strap — unusual at the time and initially rejected by traditional retailers.

LVMH acquired the brand in 2008. Under Jean-Claude Biver's leadership, Hublot expanded rapidly with the Big Bang collection and partnerships in sports (FIFA, Ferrari, Premier League).

The brand's identity centers on material experimentation: titanium, ceramic, carbon fiber, sapphire crystal cases, and proprietary alloys like "Magic Gold" (scratch-resistant 18K gold). Hublot uses its own UNICO chronograph movement in upper-range models; entry-level pieces use outsourced calibers.

Classic Fusion and Big Bang are the main collections. Steel/titanium models start around €7,000–8,000. Ceramic and precious metal versions run €15,000–60,000+.
