The Sinn T50 is a diving watch built like an instrument: a titanium case, a bezel that can't turn by accident, and a dial stripped down to what matters underwater. It launched in early 2023, just before Watches and Wonders, and sits between the steel U50 and the larger U1 in Sinn's dive range.
Overview
- What it is: a 41 mm automatic dive watch in high-strength titanium, rated to 500 m and certified by DNV.
- What stands out: the captive safety bezel. You press it down before it turns, so a knock can't move it. The bezel is Tegiment-hardened.
- Price: from €2,990 on the silicone strap, €3,380 with the large titanium folding clasp (Sinn's own shop, October 2026).

Background
The T50 follows Sinn's earlier titanium divers, the T1 and T2, which are now in the archive. It keeps their idea, a light and corrosion-proof titanium case, and adds a new design: a scalloped bezel with 8 deep recesses for grip, oversized sword hands and a cleaner minute track.
The dial follows one rule: show what matters for the dive, and tone down the rest. The colour coding helps in the dark. The hour hand and indices glow green, while the minute hand, the second hand and the key mark on the bezel glow blue, so you read the elapsed dive time at a glance.

Pros and cons
Pros:
- Light: 53 g of titanium, comfortable all day.
- The bezel: captive, press-to-turn, Tegiment-hardened. Hard to misadjust and hard to scratch.
- Legibility: large sword hands and colour-coded lume.
- Practical details: crown at 4 o'clock so it doesn't dig into the back of the hand, Ar-Dehumidifying against fogging.
- Real certification: DNV-tested to the European diving equipment standards.
Cons:
- The case isn't hardened. Only the bezel has Tegiment. Bead-blasted titanium shows scuffs.
- The movement is a standard Sellita at a near-€3,000 price.
- Thick for its width: 12.3 mm on a 41 mm case.
- Price climbs fast: the folding clasp adds about €390, and the Goldbronze versions start at €3,850.
Who it's for
People who want a tool diver they actually dive with, or wear every day without feeling it. It's the lighter, more modern choice next to the U50. On the grey silicone strap it's a sports watch. On the titanium bracelet it goes with a shirt.
Buying considerations
- Where: directly from Sinn in Frankfurt, in the factory store, or from Sinn's sales partners. Delivery in Germany takes 5 to 7 days and is free.
- Configure it: the strap and clasp choice changes the price. The silicone strap is integrated in the case design.
- Alternatives: the Sinn U50 in submarine steel (see Sinn U50 ), or a step up in price, the titanium Tudor Pelagos.
Verdict
The T50 is Sinn doing what it does best: a dive watch where every feature has a reason, from the captive bezel to the crown at 4. The titanium makes it the most wearable diver in the range. It's not a pilot's watch like my 856, but as a second watch for water and travel it would sit well next to it.
