Design
Same DNA as the Explorer 36 — 3-6-9 dial, Mercedes hands, Chromalight lume, no date — but in a 40mm case. Introduced in 2023 as a modern alternative for those who prefer a larger wrist presence.
Shares the Cal. 3230 movement with the 36mm version. Same Oyster bracelet architecture with Oysterlock clasp and Easylink 5mm comfort extension.
History
The 40mm Explorer is relatively new, joining the lineup in 2023 alongside the 36mm ref. 124270. It fills the gap left when the 39mm ref. 214270 was discontinued in 2021.
