Replit Animation is Replit's entry into AI video creation. Describe the animation you want, Gemini 3.1 Pro generates it inside Replit's environment. The tweet demo was itself produced entirely in the tool, more proof point than announcement.
Context
Two trends converging:

Agent-authored video. Alongside HyperFrames (HTML to MP4 for agents) and video-use (Claude Code skill for editing), Replit Animation is the third major 2026 bet that AI video doesn't need timeline editors, just good prompting.

Replit broadening scope. They raised $250M recently. Animation is their first real move outside code-first workflows, following the Cursor/Claude pattern of any successful AI tool eventually trying to become a platform.
Open Questions
- Does "vibecode" mean natural language only, or is there still a code surface?
- How does it compare to Runway or Pika on output quality?
- Is output fully editable post-generation, or take-it-or-remix-it?
