With Twitter being in a difficult spot at the moment, I became aware of the AT protocol via Jack Dorsey's Uku Täht's (founder of Plausible Plausible.io) & tweets.
It's a protocol that allows to build a social network on top of it.
The premise looks interesting as a technology.
It will depend though who/what gets build atop the protocol.
