The DJI Mic Mini is DJI's smallest and cheapest wireless microphone. The 2-person kit has 2 clip-on transmitters, 1 receiver and a charging case, for 99 EUR on the DJI Store Germany as of November 2026. A 1-transmitter kit costs 59 EUR. It launched on 26th November 2024.
It plugs into a camera, a phone or a computer, and the transmitters also connect straight to an iPhone or Android phone over Bluetooth, or to DJI's Osmo cameras, with no receiver.

99 EUR
What sets it apart
- 10 g transmitters, 26.6 × 26.1 × 16 mm, without the clip magnet. Light enough that a T-shirt collar doesn't flip over.
- 2-level active noise cancelling. Basic for quiet rooms (fans, air conditioning, reverb). Strong for streets and crowds.
- Battery: 11.5 hours per transmitter, 10.5 hours for the receiver, 48 hours with the case.
- Range: up to 400 m in the open.
- Automatic limiting turns the level down before the audio clips.
- 3 recording modes: stereo (1 track per speaker), mono (both mixed) and mono with a safety track 6 dB lower.

What's in the box (2-person kit)
2 transmitters, 1 receiver, the charging case, a 3.5 mm camera cable, a USB-C phone adapter, a USB-C charging cable, 4 windscreens, 2 clip magnets and a pouch. The Lightning adapter for older iPhones is sold separately.

Connections
- Camera: the receiver on the cold shoe, with the 3.5 mm TRS cable.
- Phone with the receiver: through the USB-C or Lightning adapter. A pass-through USB-C port charges the phone and the receiver at the same time.
- Phone without the receiver: a transmitter pairs over Bluetooth. Noise cancelling is then fixed on Strong, limiting is always on, and the low cut is off. It doesn't record with the phone's native camera app, only with compatible third-party apps.
- DJI cameras (OsmoAudio): transmitters connect directly to the Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo Action 4, 5 Pro and 6, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano and the Osmo Mobile gimbals. Battery drops to 7 to 8 hours in this mode.
- Computer: the receiver works over USB-C as an audio input.
Settings (noise cancelling level, limiting, low cut) live in the DJI Mimo app.
Pros and cons
Pros
- The lightest transmitters in this class, and they stay put on thin clothing.
- Noise cancelling with 2 levels, which the RØDE Wireless Micro doesn't have at the same price.
- 48 hours with the case and 400 m range.
- 1 kit for camera, phone and computer, with the camera cable and phone adapter in the box.
- The safety track mode saves a take when someone suddenly laughs or shouts.
Cons
- No internal recording. A dropout is lost audio. That's the main reason to pay for the Mic Mini 2S or a Mic 3.
- Noise cancelling can make voices sound processed on Strong. Test it before an important take.
- Direct Bluetooth to a phone is limited: fixed settings, no native camera app.
- The receiver has no screen or gain knob. Levels and settings need the app.
- No Lightning adapter in the box.
Mic Mini or Mic Mini 2S?
DJI launched the Mic Mini 2S in August 2026. It keeps the size and adds what the Mic Mini lacks most: 32-bit float internal recording on each transmitter, about 14.5 GB, which is 28 hours in 24-bit or 22 hours in 32-bit float.
| Kit (2 TX + 1 RX + case) | Price (DJI Store DE) | Internal recording |
|---|---|---|
| DJI Mic Mini | 99 EUR | No |
| DJI Mic Mini 2S | 189 EUR | Yes, 32-bit float |
The 1-transmitter kits cost 59 EUR and 99 EUR. For casual clips the Mic Mini is enough. For interviews you can't repeat, the 90 EUR extra buys a backup on every transmitter.

Alternatives
- RØDE Wireless Micro, 99.99 EUR: simpler for phones, with the receiver built for USB-C or Lightning and a 5-year warranty. No noise cancelling, no internal recording, and a camera needs an extra receiver. See RØDE Wireless Micro.
- Hollyland Lark M2: 9 g transmitters, noise cancellation and 300 m range, with 30 to 40 hours with the case.
- DJI Mic Mini 2S: the same size with internal recording, for 189 EUR.
Who it's for
- Solo creators and sellers recording on a phone or a small camera, often outdoors or in noisy places.
- 2-person interviews and walk-and-talks where light transmitters matter.
- Owners of a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 or Osmo Action camera, where the transmitters connect with no receiver.
It's a mobile kit, not a studio mic. My desk setup runs a RØDE NTG3 through the camera chain, see Rode NTG3.
Buying
- Official: the DJI Store Germany, 99 EUR for 2 transmitters and 59 EUR for 1. Both were out of stock in early November 2026. Register the product after purchase for a 1-year warranty extension.
- Pick the kit by the number of speakers. The 1-transmitter kit has no charging case, so the 48 hours only apply to the 2-person kit.
- iPhone 14 or older: buy the Lightning adapter separately.
Verdict
The Mic Mini is the best value in small wireless mics: 99 EUR for 2 transmitters, noise cancelling, 48 hours and a 400 m range. Against the RØDE Wireless Micro at the same price, it wins on features. RØDE wins on simplicity for phone-only use and on warranty. The missing internal recording is the one real gap. If that matters, the Mic Mini 2S fixes it for 90 EUR more.
