When using a flashlight

  1. Dot (.) = short flash (about 1 second)
  2. Dash (-) = long flash (about 3 seconds)
  3. Between parts of the same letter = pause 1 second
  4. Between letters = pause 3 seconds
  5. Between words = pause 7 seconds

Example: "HI" = ".... .."
- Flash short 4 times (H), pause 3s
- Flash short 2 times (I)

Use consistent timing to ensure clarity.
