Also because this does not take in consideration:

the AE's perspective (they might be tied up for X reasons)
-
that a new VP Sales will also need a bit of time to confirm to themselves they made the right move to that company (ie past honeymoon period) to feel comfortable putting their trust on the line with their network :)
Unfortunately a piece of advice advocated by some very respected thought leaders (who otherwise are spot on with their views) 🤷🏻♂️
