To drive constant momentum in a Sales team, I believe it's important to visualise, daily, where the team stands.
In my former office world, here is an example of what I liked to do:
Displaying on a wall the month's quota and past year's result - with an arrow that can be moved daily/weekly as deals get closed.
Obviously using a great month's result as example here :)
Note to self: review ways to duplicate this approach in a remote world (eg Slackbot).
Another approach is to celebrate the largest wins with a "Wall of Fame" - everyone (well, in Sales at least) wants to be on the Wall of Fame!
It doesn't have to be fancy to have the desired effect, as my example shows:
