With Herbert Diess ousted from Volkswagen, it could be a good scenario now for Elon Musk to hire him as Tesla CEO.
So Elon can focus more on Product (eg Chairman & CTO) - and his others ventures - while Diess drives the day to day with the experience of a larger scale operation.
Herbert Diess has done a great job at VW, pushing the electrification agenda.
Unfortunately, he lost the internal politics battle against German unions who struggle to let go of their legacy internal combustion engine business.
He seems like the best candidate to do what Elon, per his own admission, does not prefer doing.
