I'm using Kindle to read, and use its "highlight" feature a lot.
They can be found then on https://read.amazon.co.uk/notebook.
But since early 2022 I've been using Readwise (https://readwise.io/).
It's tackling the fact that once you read a book and highlights the best bit of it... nothing really happens from there in most cases. And what you read, no matter how critical for your learning, gets forgotten rather quickly.

I receive an email daily with a selection of highlights from my library:
I click on the grey arrow, and spend a couple minutes going through my highlights of the day:
There are several options from there.
I like the "pretty share" feature, which generates a nicely formatted image of the quote, to use as you want (ie gets downloaded):
